The love for nature was always a part of my life since childhood, having been born and raised in a quaint city along the banks of the mighty river Mahanadi in the eastern side of India. The fascination with the camera and the obsession to capture nature in its true raw form is a thing of the recent past.
I prefer to depict wildlife in its truest form with a sense of habitat or landscape in my compositions. Although I prefer making images of the subjects in the wild that show a sense of the place and its environment, portraits & some creative work features too in my portfolio.
Some of my favorite places are Masai Mara & Amboseli National Park in Kenya, Kaziranga National Park, Corbett National Park, Bandhavgarh National Park, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary & the Western Ghats in India.
I run a wildlife tours, bespoke safaris & photography workshops company under the brand name of ‘Safari Monks’.
I have an active Instagram page and have presence in Facebook & Twitter as well.
I have been using Nikon gears for close to a decade now. My kit bag currently holds:
I manage my libraries in Adobe Bridge & do most of my processing work in Adobe Camera Raw & Adobe Photoshop. I keep my workflow as natural as possible.
The best tip I can give is to be a nature & wildlife lover first and then a wildlife photographer!
